• Information you give us: your name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, and account details; the delivery address and Recipient contact details you provide; order details and shopping lists; and, for shoppers, identity and payout information.
• Payment information: card and payment details are collected and processed by our payment providers (such as Stripe and Flutterwave). We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
• Delivery proof: photos and short videos captured at the point of delivery, linked to your Order.
• Automatic information: basic technical data such as device, browser, and usage information collected through standard web tools and cookies.

2. How we use your information

• To process, fulfill, and deliver your Orders, including shopping and shipping.
• To take payment and prevent fraud, through our payment providers.
• To communicate with you about your Orders, including delivery updates and proof of delivery.
• To verify shoppers and, for vehicle shipping, to check vehicle title and eligibility.
• To improve our Service and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

3. How we share your information

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• with shoppers and delivery contractors, to fulfill your Order (limited to what they need);
• with carriers, shipping lines, and customs agents, to ship and clear goods or vehicles;
• with payment providers (such as Stripe and Flutterwave), to process payments;
• with service tools we use to operate (for example, form and record-keeping tools); and
• where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. International transfers

Akiliwo operates between the United States and Nigeria. Your information may be processed in either country to deliver the Service. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is handled.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Service, keep records of Orders and deliveries (including delivery proof), and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We then delete or anonymize it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.
